We have many fundraising activities in order to help support our charities and to help them get the resources they need. We also do volunteer work directly with those charities.
In addition to our charity work, our community work is just as important! We reach out to the elderly and those who need a helping hand. Pupils United are always looking to make new friends in the community!
So often the only interaction between secondary school pupils is as sports competitors. We want pupils from different schools to work together as friends with a common goal of serving our community.
LITTLE VILLAGE
Little Village provides clothing, toys, books, nappies, bottles and other essential supplies to families with children 5 and under.
Suggested events: The space at the site is limited but collection drives for the above items or fundraising is greatly needed. If having a collection drive, consider getting together and organising the items and clothing by size and checking the toys and puzzles for completeness.
CARE HOMES
We work with several care homes to enrich the lives of their residents. Getting to know the residents is the heart of our community outreach program.
Suggested events: Carol concerts or productions for the residents, making cards or gifts for the residents, walking or reading or helping the residents with email, baking for the residents, Hosting bingo or quiz nights. Note: most activities will probably have to be outside during Covid.
CHALK FARM FOODBANK
Nobody should have to face going hungry. The Chalk Farm Foodbank provides food, supplies and support to those in need.
Suggested events: A food drive to collect non-perishable foods, collecting supplies and assembling hampers/boxes for the foodbank, assisting at foodbank events.
